Best Wisdom from the Mentors
From all those interviews, these are my favorite lessons:
- Take risk. No guts, no glory.
- Don’t let security be your dangerous anchor.
- There is no success microchip or leadership DNA. The only thing stopping you is self-confidence.
- Don’t look desperate. Even if you are.
- Everyone has a self-esteem issue, so make peace with yours and go on about succeeding.
- It’s not what you know, but who. And it is not that hard to know the right people.
- Ask for favors. People will help you.
- Forget perfection. You don’t have time for it.
- You never know who is going to be in the room who will change your life.
- Enjoy the moment. You aren’t getting any younger.
